My friends are amazing!
I was so sad to leave the UK and to leave my lovely friends behind. Nervous about what to expect and who I would meet. Even now there isn't a day that I don't miss them. They have grown with me through school, Uni and life. They know everything about me and more. These friends are my forever friends and I can't wait to see them soon.
Over the past years in Doha I have made some amazing friends and seen some of those friends leave. Every time they go, a little bit of me goes with them. Life becomes different and things change and then you meet new friends. In the same way as my friends from back home, you learn that these friends too don't have to be down the road, they don't have to be on the phone all the time or emailing you. They might be all over the world, but they just have to be your 'friend' and they too are the best friends!
There are a few amazing people in my life and they know who they are! They're the friends that don't judge me and are there for me through the good and bad. The friends that know when to just listen or when to give advice. They're the friends that I don't need to speak to all the time, the friends that I can sit in a silent room with, the friends that I would drop everything for, the friends that would drop everything for me, they make an effort. They're the friends that know when I need wine and when I just need a cuddle. They are my best friends, unconditional and forever there. You know who you are...
