Today is my last day at Aspetar and while I have really enjoyed working here, I am really looking forward to some time off to spend with the kids. I went back to work when Lucy was just 3 months old and I have felt guilty that I wasn't able to spend more time with her as a baby.
Now I am looking forward to spending more time with both of them and enjoying their company, rather then being too tired after work to listen and play. I wouldn't change the fact that I went back to work so early and not going back wasn't an option, but now staying home is an option and I am going to enjoy it.
As we followed the husbands career, it has meant that that my working career has had to fit in and around his work and work place. I didn't have a flourishing career, but being an expat wife has allowed me to try my hand at a number of different jobs, thus giving me lots of experience, but at the same time has meant that as for career, I am not really sure what I do. If we had to go back to the UK for good, I guess an admin role or shelf stacker would be my best options -eek.

We were really lucky in Doha and made it work well. I was extreamly lucky to have such a great job at Aspetar, with amazing flexibility (which is so hard to find here as a working mum) and to actually enjoy the job itself. Aspetar is actually a great place to work and I really will miss it.
So I am probably (hopefully) not going to be working for a while, but I do need a hobby to keep me busy, what that will be I don't know. I have a few ideas and one should probably be the gym in order to rid myself of the Doha stone(s) - lets see what happens next, but for now it's time to enjoy my children and the lovely United Kingdom!
